| Why |
The City of Sparks Project Impact Campaign and the
Sierra Nevada Chapter of the American Red Cross have joined forces to present disaster
preparedness education and tips to seniors, including those with hearing or vision
problems or other limitations. Being prepared can eliminate many of the hardships that may
occur as a result of a fire, flood, earthquake, power outage, or other crisis situations.
Disaster Preparedness Presentations for Seniors will address these issues. Since many
low-income seniors cannot afford supplies for disaster preparedness, participants will
receive a free preparedness kit after attending the presentation.
