Choose food that does not require refrigeration.
Date all food items
Write out menu for each day
- Suggested foods (1/2 pound per person daily)
Canned tuna, canned beans, nonfat dry mile, canned juices, crackers, powdered juice mixes,
graham crackers, dried apricots, peanut butter, granola bars, and pet food
- Bedding
Sleeping bags or blankets
- Plastic sheet or tarp
Infant supplies if necessary
- Personal supplies
- CASH
- Toiletries, books, paper and pencil, towel, games
- Fuel and light
- Matches, candle, signal flare, canned heat (Sterno) and extra
batteries
- Clothing - One Change per person
- Other

- Place pack in convenient place known to ALL family members.
Keep a smaller version in the trunk of your car.
- Keep items in airtight bags.
- Change stored water every three months. Check and rotate food
every six months. Mark Schedules for changes on your calendar.
